Inspired from the wall tiles of Napier Mueseum , Thiruvanthapuram designed by the renowned architect Robert Chisolhm which was completed by 1880. Robert Fellowes Chisholm (11 January 1840 - 28 May 1915) was a British architect who pioneered the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture in Madras. Napier mueseum is a landmark in the city with its unique architectural style with gothic roof and minarets. The building was named after Lord Napier, the Governor of Madras from 1866-1872.
