About this artwork

In the 1980s, travelling by train from Bombay to Kerala meant a tedious but fabulous detour through Andhra Pradesh. The one sight that stays in my memory forever from this journey is the endless golden sunflower fields in the plateau. As Wordsworth said, "When all at once, I saw a crowd, a host of golden daffodils." In my case, sunflowers. :)
