Alhambra Walls, Granada, Spain

About this artwork

Several generations of stone and brick work form the ancient walls of the Alhambra palace in Granada, Spain. Oil painting by Dai Wynn on canvas panel. 17.78 cm high by 22.86 cm wide by 0.3 cm deep. (7 inches by 9 inches) approximately. This is a view from the ramparts on a bitterly cold and misty morning. My steaming hot coffee was the best I have ever tasted. I believe that Al Hambra means "the red one" in Arabic, referring to the colour of the bricks used everywhere in the walled compound.
