About this artwork

DO YOU SEE A GHOST? A couple of Frangipani blossoms (called Champa in many parts of India), looking ethereal in B&W. Did you know that Frangipani or Plumeria, although very common, are not indigenous to India? They are actually a naturalised species. Here's more: in local Asian cultures, they are believed to provide shelter to ghosts and demons. The scent of the Plumeria is associated with a vampire called pontianak in Malay folklore!
