Vintage Sexist Ads #3 : Tux

About this artwork

The 1900s were a witness to some stunningly sexist ads. Though beautifully illustrated, the taglines of many of these advertisements would infuriate, or even earn a disturbed chuckle at how warped womens' equality was. I have taken some of the more amusingly irksome taglines and coupled with a fictional present day brand/product and illustrated it with Pin-up girls. The final image is a cheeky illustration of curvy, seductive women smiling and pouting, stood next to these highly sexist phrases. (These brands/products are purely fictional, no offence meant.)
