About this artwork

My Grandfather knew a man called Mr Raman. Mr Raman owned a circus. When my father was a boy he was presented with a performing monkey from the circus by Mr Raman. Bharathan was the man Friday who worked in my Grandparents' home. One of the monkey's favorite tricks was to turn on taps and empty the water tanks. When this happened one too many times said monkey was sent back to the circus on Bharathan's shoulder. This was a story that our father would recount with much mirth. I have severely abridged the telling of it to fit this space.
