About this artwork

Shwaas is a print design developed on the software Photosh and coral draw. It comes from the sanskrti word Shwaas which means breadth ; or to dig deeper , a persons soul. The design depicts a character taking its last breadth. The last breadth with a persons’ soul coming out is shown in smoke and swirling lines. The man in the picture looks calm and serene and seems to have come in terms with his death. The body seems old and rugged having been tired with the routine life. The picture brings about a sense of purity , peace and tranquillit with the expressions and the colour combination used to create his final moment. The lines used are mostly flowy and kinetic. It shows a sense of movement in the picture. The colour combination used with the subtle blue and the peach colour gives a contrast effect with the cold death shown in blue and the warmth in the peach. The diffusion of the colours gives a smoky effect and brings about the transition of the soul out of the body.
